Publishing Guidelines
What creators need to know before submitting content to USOVAI.
Eligible content
USOVAI accepts audiovisual works where artificial intelligence plays a meaningful role in the creation process. This includes AI-generated video, AI animation, AI imagery used as primary visual content, AI voices, AI music composition and AI-assisted scripting or production design. See AI-Origin Eligibility for a more detailed explanation of what qualifies.
Accepted content types
Short films Feature-length films Series and episodic content Anime Documentaries Experimental and abstract works Music videos with AI-generated visuals Animation
Quality expectations
Submissions are not expected to match broadcast production standards. However, they should be watchable: coherent, intentional and not technically broken. Works are expected to show a basic level of craft and presentation appropriate to their stated form. Rough or experimental works are welcome provided they are honest about what they are.
Metadata requirements
Every submission must include an accurate title, a description that reflects the actual content, a correct genre selection and an appropriate content rating. Content found to have misleading metadata may be restricted or removed, and the creator will be asked to correct it.
Artwork
A thumbnail image is required for all submissions. It must clearly represent the work and must not use misleading, explicit or rights-infringing imagery. Aspect ratio and minimum resolution requirements will be documented when native uploads launch.
Creator self-rating and content warnings
Creators are responsible for selecting the appropriate content rating and enabling any relevant content warnings before submitting. Content found to be misrated may be restricted or removed. The primary responsibility for accurate ratings lies with the creator. Misrating content is a policy violation.
Rights and licences
By submitting a work you represent that you hold all necessary rights to the content and that it does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark or right of publicity. This includes background music, voice samples and any human-performed material incorporated into an AI-generated work. You retain ownership of your content. By submitting you grant USOVAI a licence to host, display and distribute the work on the platform. See the Creator Terms for the full licence details.
Crediting collaborators
If a work involves multiple creators, all contributors should be credited during submission. Credited collaborators must have registered USOVAI creator accounts. Adding a person as a collaborator without their knowledge or consent is not permitted.
Real-person and synthetic-media disclosure
Works that include realistic AI-generated likenesses of real people, or synthetic speech replicating a real person's voice, must be clearly disclosed in the description and, where appropriate, in the content warnings. Works that could reasonably be mistaken for genuine documentary footage of real events are not permitted without prominent disclosure.
Reasons changes may be requested
Inaccurate or incomplete metadata Inappropriate content rating for the actual content Missing content warnings Thumbnail does not represent the work Rights or disclosure concerns Technical quality below a minimum acceptable threshold
Prohibited content
The following content may not be submitted under any circumstances: Content that sexualises minors Graphic violence presented without creative or narrative purpose Content designed to harass or target a specific individual Realistic synthetic media falsely depicting real people in harmful or defamatory situations without disclosure Content that promotes or incites violence, terrorism or illegal activity Spam submissions or duplicate uploads
Appeals and contact
If you believe a publishing decision was incorrect, contact the USOVAI team using the Contact page and select Creator Support as your category. Include the title of the affected submission and a brief explanation of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Appeals are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
